In 2023, the ProgressNow Commference launched COMMSTalks, a unique opportunity to be featured on the event’s mainstage. With submissions from around the country, registered attendees have an opportunity to shape a segment of the agenda and recommend the best and brightest speakers to feature.

What is a COMMSTalk?
Modeled after the popular TEDTalks format, a COMMStalk features 1 speaker on the mainstage for up to 10 minutes to demonstrate their idea, tactic, or story that will benefit the communication practitioners, digital organizers, and advocates attending the 2024 Commference.

How to Apply:
Applying is simple with a short application here. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 21, 2025 by 5:00PM PT. 

Tips for your submission:
This is your time to be creative and share your expertise with an audience of progressive communication and digital professionals. We are looking for topics that directly impact communications and digital work, but from a unique perspective or a different approach. We don’t want the same old lecture! We’re looking for energy and enthusiasm. This is not a fundraising pitch. Show us that you are an expert on the topic and are able to convey your idea, tactic, or story in a tight 15 minutes, while keeping the audience engaged.
